i don’t care

Jun 19

Written by a housewife from New Jersey and sounds like it! This is one ticked off lady.

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?…Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime
in Saudi Arabia .

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by
hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their
suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest
assured: I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is
complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care !!

Sooner or later, this may get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country!

And may I add:
"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem."
– Ronald Reagan

"If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under." — Ronald Reagan

One last thought for the day:

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the Anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said: "A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in… And how many want out."

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

gas prices

Jun 12

driving into work this morning (yeah lil brother, my 7 minute commute to work) I was listening to the radio as I typically do…

they were discussing the hot topics of the day…

and as with any other day, they were talking about the record gas prices we have been seeing for quite some time now…

they were then pointing out the given reasons for the cost of the high gas prices…

back in the late 2001 and early 2002, the oil companies blamed low gas prices and lower profits as the reasons they were not expanding the refineries in the US to meet what would eventually be high demand in the coming years…

now after many quarters or record profits you think they could now expand and enhance those refineries, right??

nope…now the oil companies are blaming high demand and low supplies for not allowing them the ability to build more refineries or enhance those already in existence…

um, ok…you can't have it both ways folks….

at what point do we say enough is enough?

i am adamantly against ANY type of government oversight into limiting the profits of these companies…
that is a socialist society and not a capitalistic society…
i am however for the advancement of alternative fuels and the lowered dependence on fossil fuels…
some day we hopefully will get there and then the oil companies won't have these record profits…

they won't be able to talk out of both sides of their mouths….
then the cycle will be in full effect…

oh, and also, the whole Democratic Party pledge to do something about outrageous gas prices was just a farce as expected…
actually, they can't even get their priorities straight to get a full grasp of the issue…
they want to LOWER gas prices but RAISE standards on how much is done to protect the environment..
don't they understand it is about supply and demand here folks??
if you want LOWER gas prices, then you need to have MORE supply..
by RAISING the standards for gasoline emissions to protect the environment you are essentially reducing the supply, thus pushing UP the price of gas…

i mean honestly….

“cheese”

Jun 12

just read this story about a new cheap heroin that is being sold in Dallas to junior-high and middle-school students..

it is called "cheese"…

it is cheap…

it IS heroin…

it will kill you…

why would someone want to sell drugs to such young children, I do not know nor can I fathom…

however, please let people know about this issue before it spreads and becomes a nation-wide situation…

i’m about due as well

Jun 12

to win the lottery that is…

that is about as likely as this story today…

the story cites experts that proclaim NYC is about due for a major hurricane

i mean, honestly, can't we stir up enough sensationalism with just al "bore me" gore and NOT have to try and involve Homeland Security?

"Experts say it will happen. They just don't know exactly when."

great, makes me feel LOTS better….

kind of like Arkansas will win the national championship….i am just not sure when, and not sure in which sport…

all this just sounds like ways to get more taxpayer money to prepare for a storm that may or may not happen in the next 15 – 30 years..

pay for themselves

May 17

as received from my wonderfully "blonde" cousin this morning…
enjoy :)

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with that expensive,
double-pane energy-efficient kind.

Yesterday, I got a call from the contractor who installed them. He was
complaining that the windows had been installed a whole year ago and I
hadn't paid for them yet.

Hellloooo? Now just because I'm blonde doesn't mean that I am
automatically stupid. So I told him just exactly what his fast-talking sales guy had
told ME last year. Namely, that in just ONE YEAR these windows would pay for
themselves! Helllooo? I told him. It's been a year.

There was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally just
hung up. He hasn't called back, probably too embarrassed about forgetting the
guarantee they made me. Bet he won't underestimate a blonde anymore.
