RazorPicks 08 — Week 10 My Picks

Nov 01

1. Auburn @ Ole Miss (SEC vs SEC)
Ole Miss hasn't won an SEC game at home this year, but Auburn is in a complete and utter free-fall right now. Look for Jevon Snead to have a big day and the Rebels to win easily at home.
Ole Miss 31 Auburn 17
2. Northwestern @ #17 Minnesota (Big 10(1) vs Big 10(1))
In the Big 10(1) always go with the home team unless they are playing Purdon't, Iowa, or Northwestern. This year NW started out like gangbusters and then fizzled. The Gophers win easily here with their ground game.
Wildcats 14 Golden Rodents 38
3. #18 Tulsa @ Arkansas (C-USA vs SEC)
Tulsa hasn't played anyone and Arkansas has played a brutal schedule. The plan is to not get behind Tulsa, but instead run the ball, control the clock and get pressure on the QB. If the Hogs can do that, it should be an easy win.
Hurricane 28 Hawgs 42
4. #8 Florida @ #6 Georgia (SEC vs SEC)
You think the Gators don't remember the celebration penalty last year on the first TD for the Dawgs? They remember. And they want revenge. They have dominated this series in the past, but recently the Dawgs have made it interesting going 2 – 2. Look for the Gators to run up and down the field.
Gators 45 Dawgs 38
5. #15 Florida State @ Georgia Tech (ACC vs ACC)
Florida State has made huge steps this year and they get a chance to move closer to the ACC title game with a win today in Atlanta. They win this one for Bowden by stopping the triple option of Paul Johnson and forcing the Jackets to pass (which they don't do very well).
Seminoles 31 Jackets 17
6. Nebraska @ #4 Oklahoma (Little XII vs Little XII)
Oklahoma is trying to make up ground in the BCS and they need some serious style points in this game. Don't expect Stoops to let up in this one as the Sooners win in a shoot out. Is there ANY defense in the Little XII????
Huskers 31 Sooners 52
7. #13 TCU @ UNLV (MWC vs MWC)
The Horned Frogs have looked very impressive this year, except for that trip to Norman. Look for them to travel to Las Vegas and upend the Runnin Rebs. However, don't expect it to be easy. This Rebel team beat Arizona State in Tempe earlier in the year.
Horned Frogs 35 Rebels 21
8. Tennessee @ South Carolina (SEC vs SEC)
The Vols offense is down right offensive. The Gamecock offense isn't setting the world on fire either. Look for the defenses to rule in this game and the home team to squeak out a win as Visor Boy beats up on Phat Phil and sends him packing from the SEC.
Vols 6 Gamecocks 12
9. #24 Oregon @ California (PAC-10 vs PAC-10)
It all depends upon which California team will show up this week. I look for the Ducks to just run, run, and run some more on the Bears. I think in the end it will e a competitive game, but the Ducks pull away in the 4th quarter for a big win.
Ducks 49 Bears 35

Give the Score:
10. #1 Texass @ #7 Texas Tech (Little XII vs Little XII)
This is the BCS championship for the Shorthorns. They win and they can probably coast to the Little XII title game and the BCS Championship. The Red Raiders however are just starting their gauntlet run. If they don't win this game, they very well could end the season with 3 straight losses to the Cowboys from Okie State and the Sooners in Norman. I think they will give it everything they have, but costly turnovers and the experience of the Shorthorns in big games over the past week will in the end be too much for the Raiders to overcome.
Shorthorns 42 Red Raiders 41
