RazorPicks — Bowl Edition – My Picks

Here they are…..

AutoZone Liberty Bowl
UCF vs. Mississippi State
Saturday December 29, 2007 3:30 p.m. ESPN HD

— UCF has an outstanding running game and the Bulldogs have had a very surprising season. They were in every game they played this year except two. LSU at home and Arkansas in Little Rock. Look for this to be a competitive game that the Bulldogs pull out in the end.

UCF 21 Bulldogs 24

Valero Alamo Bowl
Penn State vs. Texas A&M
Saturday December 29, 2007 7:00 p.m. ESPN HD

— Texas A&M is in the process of rebuilding and getting used to their new coach. Penn State, well, they haven't had a new coach in over 30+ years. Look for this to be a well-played game on both sides and in the end Penn State and Joe Pa win another bowl game. Remember folks, this guy is 81!

Nitny Lions 24 Aggies 20

PetroSun Independence Bowl
Alabama vs. Colorado
Sunday December 30, 2007 7:00 p.m. ESPN HD

— Alabama is falling fast. They have lost their last 3 games and after starting 4 – 2 they have fallen to 2 – 4 over their last 6. Don't worry though, Satan will have them back in a couple of years. Colorado on the other hand is rising quickly in their second season under Haskins. Look for a good game again.

Bama 17 Colorado 13

Brut Sun Bowl
South Florida vs. Oregon
Monday December 31, 2007 1:00 p.m. CBS

— Oregon is still without Dixon and they will still be without a win in this game against the Bulls from South Florida.

Bulls 34 Ducks 24

Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl
Kentucky vs. Florida State
Monday December 31, 2007 3:00 p.m. ESPN HD

— It is a wonder that FSU can even field a competitive team at this point. Kentucky on the other hand is without their star running back for this one. Look for Woodson to pick apart the Seminole secondary on his way to a record setting day.

Wildcats 42 Seminoles 24

Chick-fil-A Bowl
Clemson vs. Auburn
Monday December 31, 2007 6:30 p.m. ESPN HD

— Well, seems like every person on the Auburn staff was either rumored to be leaving or was asked to leave since the regular season left. They have a new OC and their DC and HC flirted with other schools, but stated put. Look for the Tigers and Bowden to be overmatched in this one. Muschamp's D shuts them down.

C Tigers 10 A Tigers 35

AT&T Cotton Bowl
Missouri vs. Arkansas
Tuesday January 1, 2008 10:30 a.m. FOX

— In what could be the most exciting game ever in college football played before noon, the Razorbacks and the Tigers are primed for some offensive fireworks. With Daniels and McFadden, both Heisman Finalists this year representing their respective teams, it should be fun. They should heat up an otherwise cold morning in Big D. The one with the ball last, wins!

Razorbacks 42 Tigers 38

Konica Minolta Gator Bowl
Texas Tech vs. Virginia
Tuesday January 1, 2008 12:00 p.m. CBS

— This is a classic match-up of high-powered offense pitted against a dominating defense. I guess in the end we will see which really does win. I think the O from Tech is just too much with Freshman Bilittnikoff winner Crabtree hauling in Harrell's passes. Tech in a squeaker.

Tech 31 VA 27

Capital One Bowl
Michigan vs. Florida
Tuesday January 1, 2008 12:00 p.m. ABC HD

— So, Rich Rodriguez is the savior for the Big Blue. He is an ethical, wholesome, outstanding hire. At least according to BSPN. Never mind the fact that he ran out on a job he said he would rather "die before leaving" and he left 18 – 20 year olds standing at the gate to the BCS game just weeks before. One has to wonder if he had already thought about Michigan when he lost to Pitt and threw away a shot at the BCS Championship. Oh well. Doesn't matter. Super Tebow and Florida will roll.

Wolverines 17 Gators 42

Rose Bowl Presented by Citi
Illinois vs. USC
Tuesday January 1, 2008 3:30 p.m. ABC HD

— Illinois is in this game by the benefit of all the upsets in the BCS ahead of them. With Ohio State going to the Championship game, the Illini got the call. They get a red-hot USC team that is healthy and ready to go. The Trojans are just too good for them.

Trojans 35 Illini 17

Allstate Sugar Bowl
Hawaii vs. Georgia
Tuesday January 1, 2008 7:30 p.m. FOX

— Hmm, Hawaii?? Well, they have surprised me all year long by continuing to win. Their biggest win was over Boise State however. Not exactly something to write home about. The SEC and the Georgia Bulldogs are really rolling right now. They didn't make the SECC Game b/c the Vols beat the Wildcats in Triple OT. Look for the Bulldogs to roll in this one though.

Rainbows 21 Bulldogs 45

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl
Oklahoma vs. West Virginia
Wednesday Jaunuary 2, 2008 7:00 p.m. FOX

— How will the Mountaineers respond after having their heart and soul ripped out by Rich Rodriguez and his abandoning them. Oh and the subsequently being sued by the university for not wanting to pay the buyout of $4 mil owed to them by Rich. I think that Stoops and the Sooners will be ready to go and the Mountaineers are just out manned.

Sooners 38 Mountaineers 17

FedEx Oragne Bowl
Virginia Tech vs. Kansas
Thursday January 3, 2008 7:00 p.m. FOX

— The Defense of Virginia Tech is outstanding as usual. The offense from Kansas has lit up the Big XII this year. Let's see what happens when you put an overwhelming force against an immovable object. I think the D wins again in this one. Va Tech has just played much better competition all year and will be more prepared. Oh and Frank Beamer has been here before.

Hokies 31 Jayhawks 21

GMAC Bowl
Bowling Green vs. Tulsa
Sunday January 6, 2008 7:00 p.m. ESPN HD

— Tulsa has the best offense in the country. I have no clue what Bowling Green can do besides nearly beat Nebraska in Lincoln. However, who didn't beat Nebraska this year? So, who knows. Toss-up.

Bowling Green 35 Tulsa 41

Tie-Breaker Give The Score
Allstate BCS Championship Game
LSU vs. Ohio State
Monday January 7, 2008 7:00 p.m. FOX

— Remember last year when Ohio State had Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith and Florida just dismantled them? Just keep that in mind this year when the speed of the SEC and LSU overwhelm the Buckeyes once again. LSU is healthy for the first time since week 4 of the season. Doesn't bode well for Tressel's crew. Someday everyone will realize how overrated the Big 10 really is.

LSU 38 OSU 17
