RazorPicks — Week 14 My Picks

Tulsa @ Central Florida
Where do I start here, let me see how about the Co-OC on the Tulsa sideline. Great guy. Probably will eventually be a great coach someday, however, quite honestly, his involvement in the debacle that was the Arkansas Razorbacks 10-win season from a year ago is just despicable. He gets a free pass for reasons I have yet to understand. It is as if he did nothing in the matter at all. Right. I think Central Florida will have enough offense to outscore Tulsa because Tulsa has no defense and although their offense is very, very good, it just isn't up to the standards that UCF has played this year.

Trust me when I tell you Frank Beamer and his gang remember the unexplainable 14 points they gave up late in Blacksburgh earlier in the year when Matt Ryan pulled a rabbit out of his hat and beat the Hokies. It won't happen again today.

Hokies 24 Eagles 10

#14 Tennessee @ #7 LSU
Although they have won 10 games for three straight seasons under Les Miles (for the first time in LSU football history mind you) they haven't won the SEC Championship. After the stunning loss at home last week to unranked Arkansas, can the Tigers rebound? Honestly, I don't think they will have to rebound too much. Although Tennessee throttled Arkansas in Knoxville, they obviously were ready for the Hogs that day. Look for Matt Flynn to play and LSU to dominate Eric Ainge.

More than likely this will be the last game for Dorrell on the UCLA sidelines. With all the promise this year of a breakout year for the Bruins, it just hasn't been anything close. They were one of only 2 teams to lose to Notre Dame this year…. AT HOME!!! USC is finally healthy and they will dominate.

Dennis Dixon doesn't play again. And once again, the Ducks lose.

Beavers 24 Ducks 6

#19 BYU @ San Diego State
The Cougars have put together a very respectable season this year. The Aztecs on the other hand, well, you know. The Cougars are looking for a perfect conference mark with a win over the Aztecs. They close out the regular season well.

The Backyard Brawl will probably end up being a pillow fight. However, this game has been known to surprise on several different occasions. While don't think the Panthers can upset the Montaineers, I do believe they just may give them a good game. Even in Morgantown. In the end though, the Mountaineers finally get it right and get a shot at the BCS Title game.

Another one of those in-state rivalries that isn't known all that much around the country. Although the Trojans just simply dominated the Sun Devils last week, don't look for that to happen again. And although the Wildcats were able to hold off the Ducks after knocking Dixon out of the game, don't expect them to pull off another miracle here. Mike Stoops is playing for a bowl birth, while the Sun Devils are playing for a possible BCS at-large birth (not sure how considering their competition though). In the end the Sun Devils get 10-wins and go to the Fiesta.

There is so much inside of me that wants to pick Coach Ty here. I just can't pull the trigger though. If this game were in Spokane and not on the Big Island, then yes, the Huskies would prevail. However, there very well could be a hangover from the flight and that is just enough to get June Jones past the Cougars and somehow based upon absurd rankings in the BCS into a BCS bowl. Hopefully they will draw LSU in the Sugar. Talk about a freaking beat down by the Tigers THAT would be. Geez!

Cougars 13 Rainbows 24

#9 Oklahoma @ #1 Missouri
This is the been-there-done-that game on several levels for ZeroU. They have been to the Big XII Title game. They have beaten Missouri 18 of the last 20 times they have played. And they beat them earlier in the year in Norman. However, this isn't the perennial doormat of the Big XII Missouri team this year. they have won 11 games (after averaging 8 wins a year since 1969), they have a possibly Heisman candidate in QB Chase Daniel. Are they really the #1 team in the country though? They beat Illinois in the first game of the year and then beat a Kansas team last week that hadn't beaten a single Top 25 team all year. I just think that the experience factor of Bob Stoops on the sideline versus Gary Pinkle?? Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Who? ZeroU wins a fun one.
